Eric Arubayi's Brother reveals Consumption of Expired Drugs Caused his Death


 
On Saturday Feb. 11th, West African idol 2nd runner up, Eric Arubayi died after a brief illness. His brother, Derrick Arubayi has revealed that he took expired malaria drugs which led to his death. 

Speaking to Vanguard, Derrick revealed that Eric had been sick with malaria and typhoid and things got worse after he took the expired drugs. It led to liver failure which eventually led to his death.

“He had malaria and typhoid, which was untreated. It later became worse after he took a medication that had expired and this triggered his liver ailment and afterwards, every other thing just followed at a fast pace before his death. “The only thing that we had to say is that he lived for Christ. We just want the world to know that the name Eric Odafe Arubayi was for a reason beyond the West Africa Idol show. For that reason, God would make manifest even beyond his glorious ascension." he said

Nigerian, Imelme Umana, becomes first black woman to be President of the Harvard Law Review



Imelme who is from Akwa Ibom state is following the footstep of Former US President Barack Obama who became the first black man elected as Havard Law Review’s president in 1990. 

Umana, who is a doctorate candidate at Harvard Law School, has served as chair of the Community Action Committee, a board member of the Harvard Model Congress Boston, and a research assistant at the school's Hiphop Archive at the Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research

US President Signs Executive Order to BAN Immigrant Visas from yria, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Sudan, and Somalia.

President Donald Trump will begin rolling out executive actions on immigration Wednesday, beginning with steps to tighten border security - including his proposed wall along the US-Mexico border. 

The president is also expected to take action over the next few days to temporarily ban immigration from Muslim countries deemed a 'threat to national security' - namely Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Sudan, and Somalia.

In addition, Trump is set to sign other domestic immigration enforcement measures that will include targeting sanctuary cities that decline to prosecute undocumented aliens.

n total over the next few days, Trump is expected to:
  • Direct federal funds toward the construction of a wall along the southern border
  • Target so-called 'sanctuary' cities that decline to prosecute undocumented aliens
 Measures still being finalized and subject to change include: 
  • A four-month freeze on admission of all refugees
  • Grant exceptions to Christians and other minorities fleeing Muslim persecution 
  • Halt visas to people from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen because the Muslim-majority countries that are 'terror prone'
  • The visa bans would last at least 30 days while vetting processes are reviewed 
  • Stop protecting illegal immigrants who arrived in the US as children from deportation
